EMINEM AND JAKE GYLLENHAAL TEAMED UP TO GIVE FANS IN SUBURBAN DETROIT A SURPRISE LEFT HOOK ON SUNDAY.

Eminem and Jake Gyllenhaal teamed up to give fans in suburban Detroit a surprise left hook on Sunday.
The duo showed up to introduce the Antoine Fuqua-directed film at a screening of their new movie Southpaw in Livonia, Mich. Eminem, who was offered the starring role in the movie back in 2010, is one of the film's producers along with Gyllenhaal, who stars as a down-on-his-luck boxer trying to regain his life, career and daughter after a downward spiral following the death of his wife.
Eminem told the crowd on Sunday, "From the minute I saw this script I really felt like this movie had the potential to be something special. We hope that you all do, too. Jake did an incredible job.... Everybody in the movie is great, in my opinion. I'm super-excited to be a part of it."
Eminem also curated the soundtrack for Southpaw, featuring his own songs "Phenomenal" and "Kings Never Die," the latter a duet with Gwen Stefani. The collection also includes tracks by 50 CentAction BronsonJoey Bada$$ andThe Weeknd
Gyllenhaal told the screening crowd, "The album is sick, too. The training montage is insane because of his music. It's an honor to have him even be a little part of the movie, but the fact he gave so much of it, we all gave our hearts to it. It's an honor to be even next to him."
Both the film and the album are due out Friday, July 24.
